About Profiles

There are three types of Profiles on Family.Base. Your User Profile manages your Family.Base website account. With People and Organisation Profiles you can publish and archive information online.

User Account Profiles

  • Website visitors can see your user account avatar, name and any 'Person' or 'Organisation' profiles associated with your account. They can also see all of your live listings.
  • The User Account Profile is listed as the author for any other Profiles or Listings created by this user
  • If comments are added to discussions, they are also linked to the User Account profile

People Profiles

  • People Profiles are intended to create a permanent record of a person who is or who has been professionally involved in Family
  • The quantity of People Profiles that you can make depends on your membership level
  • People Profiles are published in our 'People' directory
  • People Profiles can be linked to listings, to show that a Person was involved with that News, Event, Product or Service

Organisation Profiles

  • Organisation Profiles are intended to create a permanent record of an organisation who is or who has been professionally involved in Family
  • At the moment, users can only create a maximum of one Organisation Profile per User Account
  • Organisation Profiles are promoted in the 'Organisations' directory
  • Organisation Profiles can be linked to listings, to show that the Organisation was involved with that News, Event, Product or Service
